JEREMY RIFKIN TO CHALLENGE YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS!

“The economy of an oil-less world and the vision of the third industrial revolution”

In the framework of the 18th YES Annual Summit that will take place in Hanover, Germany, on 21-22 November 2008, YES has organized a panel discussion on the topic of “The Economy of an Oil-less World and the Vision of the Third Industrial Revolution” with a prominent guest speaker, Mr Jeremy Rifkin.

The topic:

The First Industrial Revolution was about the convergence of steam and coal with the press print communication. The Second Industrial Revolution was based on the convergence of oil and electricity with telegraph, telephone, TV and the first generation of IT. Mr. Rifkin argues that the Third Industrial Revolution will see the convergence of the second generation of IT, Internet, satellite and mobile communication with the decentralized interactive energy model based on renewable energies.

Jeremy Rifkin will explain how meeting the climate goals, will effectively lead to the creation of thousands of new companies and of millions of jobs consequently, giving new life to the existing SMEs, as well as redistribution of the wealth on the planet and increase in the competitiveness through innovation.
