Brussels, Belgium, October 13, 2009 - YES–European Confederation of Young Entrepreneurs welcomes the approval of the Lisbon Treaty by Poland.
After Polish President Kaczyński’s signature of the Lisbon Treaty on Saturday, October the 10th, the Czech Republic remained the only EU country which is still to ratify. In today’s critical times, the urgency of the matter is even greater since if not ratified by May 2010, the Treaty might not come into force at all as the UK elections might change the scene once again by taking the matter to a referendum. YES stands for the soon approval of the Czech Republic since that would strengthen the European Union as a global power, enhance better decision-making, make processes more transparent and would create a better environment for businesses and entrepreneurship. |
